 didn't know anything about software back in the day and the computer science guy knew something about software. It's inexpressible like the current ones are. We literally took half the chip and change all the numbers by 10

 variable valve lift, variable cam timing, variable ignition timing, and variable cam timing all work together to compensate for the fact that engines only have one spot to peak torque.

 octane is a factor in engine performance, especially in turbocharged engines, and it can have a huge impact on the overall performance of the car.
