 When the rotor assembly needs to be able to move back and forth freely inside it's assembled state, the hub assembly actually pushes the rotor back and thus greatly increasing the amount of displaced pedal that you experience when applying brakes.

 Two piece rotors help to minimize knock back and allow the road to expand and contract freely, radial and axial float is built into the system to help with this.

 A drilled rotor system is more efficient at dissipating heat and it's lighter weight, but it's not as good at stopping a car. Carbon ceramic and carbon carbon rotor systems are better at stopping a car.

 There are two types of pads. There's an inherent pad and abrasive pad. The abrasive pads are actually eating into the rotor and you typically see that in the racing context. Check or need to replace your pads

 determine your car's brake balance by going out on the street and hitting the brakes and figuring out what axl locks up first. Also, changing brake pads is a great way to improve brake balance.

 stainless lines are way cheaper, longer lasting, and give you better modulation. Also, flush brake fluid every year to keep your brake lines supple.
